I put up some of the current novel. It really needs more fine tuning, but I'm on a roll. Did almost 3000 words this evening. Best record ever.

Been a busy week at work, gaming, and life in general. Currently trying to buy a house w/ two business partners, covering a dozen different hot button items @ work, alpha testing a game, and scratching my PvP itch by playing Warhammer Online. Have some screens that I should post, the Squig Herder being the most amusing.

NaNo 2008 is almost upon us. Working my outline and idea. This year I'm going for a modern Faerie tale. Like the Brothers Grimm, only not censored & politically correct.

The last couple of weeks has gotten me to realize I have a great support network of friends. And that is a comforting thought.

Work, work work. So sick of work. And the general grind of the same thing, same excuses, same lack of planning. One would think that working for a Fortune 500 Company [go us, we are in the 490's] that people might actually THINK and PLAN. But not really and they let 1000's of dollars just get pissed away because they forgot some contract or another. Or some maintenance lapsed & suddenly they need a purchase order to get the vendor out to fix a dead server. And god forbid you follow procedure, one would think I can handwave $20,000.00 past me. No, I'm a cog in the machine, my power ends at the end of my reach. You want this signed, so talk to Controller or CFO, if you can find them or they aren't out of the office.

*sigh*

That's the rant for this week. There are good parts to me job, but sometimes I just want to strangle people.

Nice 3 day weekend to enjoy, including sleeping in until after 8am! Doesn't seem like much, but that's late for me. Posted a bit from my first NaNo attempt, which really needs to be edited. The beauty of NaNo is just to write & not edit, but afterwards you look at the mess & cringe. So, I'm posting it unedited for now.
